A baby shower is a gathering to celebrate the excitement and joy that new life brings. Although we have gone through a year that was anything but normal, the modern babyshower is shaped around one thing: sharing this special time with the people you love.

Rather than having everyone come all at once, have visitors stop by during at a certain time to allow more one-on-one time with your guests. This gives visitors flexibility with their schedule, and a quieter setting. A few single-serve snacks that sit out well is a good call for this option.

Virtual Shower

If your relatives live at a distance (or it’s not easy to gather), consider a virtual shower. Send digital invites and plan a few games that are easy to play virtually. Set up a celebratory backdrop and consider wearing something that highlights the belly on camera.

Photoshoot

A photoshoot in a pretty dress is a special way to mark this milestone. Rather than a gathering, you may prefer to share your photoshoot finals with your loved ones so they can enjoy and remember this time in your life. This is a great option if your family isn’t close by, so they can see the progress of your bump!

Dinner at home or a restaurant

This is a less traditional setting, however if you are a foodie this is a great option to enjoy your favourite meal, and maybe share your most craved foods. It’s all about joining together and doing something that makes you feel special.
