CARRY is a Toronto-based label designed by mother-daughter duo Pat and Kat Gillespie. Together they create effortless styles for pregnant and nursing women. Comfort is at the forefront of their designs, with special consideration of the changing pregnant form.

OUR INSPIRATION

This fall / winter season we’ve created a timeless collection of pieces that, when paired together, create the ultimate capsule pregnancy wardrobe. Pulling inspiration from modern shapes, each garment flatters through every stage of pregnancy and beyond. The CARRY F/W 2020 Collection focuses on thoughtful and subtle design, letting the fabrics and silhouettes speak for themselves.

OUR CONCEPT

Emphasizing the enjoyment of the everyday. The little things we take for granted. The moments can be missed when working through a busy schedule. Slowing down -- taking a minute.

Influenced by our natural states and adjusting lifestyles, women can feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful, wherever they are heading next.

OUR PRODUCTION

Appealing to all things soft, Kat and Pat favoured natural Oeko-Tex certified fabrics during the production phase, offering optimal comfort. The result was designs that cleverly tie functionality and elegance together, allowing women to continue wearing their CARRY pieces long after delivery.

Buying decisions that are sustainable and long-term, not just in quality and composition, but also design.

ON SET

Our team made good use of the Toronto setting; seeing the beauty in our overgrown city, the natural pigments and forms of our neighborhoods. It was important to weave together a sense of home with our high-level production. Earthy, warm tones allowed for organic representation.

Inspired by the natural beauty of pregnancy, we had our model, Renee, join us during the eighth month of her first pregnancy. Comfortable poses and simple styling offered emphasis to authenticity, in line with the CARRY brand. We captured Renee in relatable snapshots, concentrating on the importance of the ‘now’.
